On April 14, 2025, African Fashion International (AFI) launched the 14th edition of its Fastrack™ incubator programme a dynamic, 12-month journey designed to elevate emerging African designers into globally recognized fashion entrepreneurs.

Open to African citizens aged 18–35, this prestigious opportunity offers unmatched access to mentorship, business education, sustainability practices, and a career-defining global showcase.


A Mission Rooted in Transformation

Since its inception in 2011, AFI Fastrack™ spearheaded by founder and Executive Chairperson Dr. Precious Moloi-Motsepe has mentored over 40 rising talents, equipping them with tools to thrive across global fashion capitals like Paris, Milan, and New York.

Core Objectives:

  • Business Savvy: Master brand strategy and commercial growth.

  • Technical Excellence: Sharpen design, production, and retail skills.

  • Global Connectivity: Gain access to international markets and AFI’s powerful network.


Programme Highlights

Spanning 12 months, the programme blends creativity with business acumen through:

  • Educational Seminars: Monthly masterclasses on digital marketing, supply chain, and retail.

  • One-on-One Mentoring: Personalized guidance from seasoned industry experts.

  • Sustainability Workshops: Training in ethical sourcing and responsible production.

  • Emerging designers without a full-scale label

Submission Requirements:

  • Portfolio: High-res images of two collections

  • Business Plan: Vision, market focus, and growth strategy

  • Statement of Purpose: A personal essay on creative and professional goals
